"Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy"

SUPERHEROES: FASHION AND FANTASY es una muestra que se presentó el pasado septiembre de 2008 en el Metropolitan Museum of Art de la ciudad de New York.

Todos los personajes de las películas y los comics mas famosos que conocimos a lo largo de nuestra existencia, estuvieron presentes en la muestra. La ropa cuyo diseño influyeron personajes como Superman, Batman y la Mujer Maravilla presentados por el diseñador Armani y otros diseñadores como Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Issey Miyake, Moschino, Pierre Cardin, Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott, ThreeAsFour, Speedo, y Nike.

Lo que pude leer en la pagina del MET “explorará las asociaciones simbólicas y metafóricas entre la moda y el superhéroe. Con trajes usados en películas, alta costura avant garde y ropa deportiva de alto rendimiento la muestra revelará cómo el superhéroe sirve como metáfora para la moda y su habilidad para empoderar y transformar el cuerpo humano”.

Lástima, me la perdí ... pero me consuelo con el catalogo, el vídeo y las imágenes.
